Founded PrairieComm as a fabless semiconductor manufacturer providing systems-on-a-chip solutions and software for all major worldwide wireless telecommunications standards. Customers included Motorola, Samsung, Siemens, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, Audiovox, Nortel, and Lucent. Company sold to Motorola/Freescale Semiconductor. Board of Directors included the President of AT&T Wireless, and EVPs from Conexant, Lucent and Samsung. Raised $56 million in venture and strategic capital from Greylock, Lucent, Samsung, Conexant, and others. Managed a large marketing team in the development of all PrairieComm’s product road maps and marketing plans. Managed a global engineering staff consisting of hundreds of engineers towards the development, integration, and commercialization of PrairieComm’s systems-on-a-chip solutions and software. Managed PrairieComm’s IP including the patenting of inventions and the development of procedures to protect the IP. Established design centers in Bangalore, India; Minneapolis, MN; and Atlanta, GA.
