Professional Experience

Paul M. Raya (born 1972) studied chemistry at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995.  Following graduation, he took a position teaching chemistry in secondary education.  While attending The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois Mr. Raya was also employed as a Chicago Police Officer.   In 2004, Mr. Raya was awarded his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, and a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law.
           
During law school, Mr. Raya was a member of The John Marshall Law Review and a staff-editor for The John Marshall Review of Intellectual Property Law.
           
Mr. Raya joined the firm in 2004 and has gained experience in litigation, patent prosecution matters, patent validity and infringement analysis and trademark clearance.
